Privacy Policy

Bisdak na! (bisdakna.com) is a free app for learning Bisaya (Cebuano). The short version: the app works fully without an account, we only collect what sync needs (your email and learning progress) plus anonymous usage statistics, and we never sell your data.

Without an account: nothing leaves your device. Your XP, streak, learned words, and settings are stored only in your browser’s local storage.

With an account (optional): if you sign in with a one-time email code, we store your email address and your learning progress (XP, streak, completed lessons, and review data) so it can sync across your devices. That’s all — no name, no password, no payment details.

When you sign in, we set a session cookie so you stay signed in. It is httpOnly (not readable by scripts) and used only for authentication — not for tracking. Signing out removes it. Google Analytics (below) also sets its own cookies to recognise repeat visits — but only if you allow it in the cookie prompt.

We use a small number of trusted service providers to run the app: one to store account emails and synced progress, one to deliver the sign-in code emails, and one to host the app (which, like most hosts, keeps short-lived server logs such as IP addresses for security and operations).

These providers process data only to run the app for us. We don’t share or sell your data to anyone else.

We use Google Analytics to understand how the app is used in aggregate — things like which lessons are popular and where people get stuck — so we can improve it. This involves cookies and usage data (pages viewed, device type, approximate location) processed by Google. We don’t use it to identify you personally. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Bisdak na! is free forever. To keep it that way, we may show ads in the future (for example via Google AdSense). If we do, ad partners may use cookies to serve ads, and this policy will be updated before any ads appear. You can opt out of personalised Google ads at adssettings.google.com.

Use the app anonymously — simply don’t sign in.

Change your cookie choice — tap “Cookie settings” at the bottom of your profile to see the consent prompt again.

Delete local data — use “Reset all progress” on your profile, or clear your browser data.

Delete your account — email us (address below) and we’ll remove your email and synced progress.

The app is suitable for general audiences and collects no personal data unless you sign in with an email address. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
